The Spark Favorite Verses

Declan Mark 4:40

He said to them, "Why are you so afraid? Have you still no faith?"

In the bible Jesus is asking his Disciples, "why are you so afraid? Have you still no faith. After calming a violent storm highlighting their lack of trust in Him despite witnessing, His power over nature, as they questioned who He could be, even the wind and sea obeying Him. This shows their lack of trust in Him even after splitting the sea and slowing the winds.

Levi Proverbs 3: 5-6 (KJV)

"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."

This verse is important because it reminds us not to rely only on ourselves. It teaches us to trust God even when we don't understand what's happening. When we ask God for guidance, it helps us make better choices. It gives comfort that we are not facing life alone.

Savannah Psalm 30: 7 (NLT)

"You favor, O Lord, made me as secure as a mountain. Then you turned away from me, and I was shatter."

It means that in God's presence he felt proud & strong, but when he had a smug attitude of self-confidence had interrupted the blessing. The King had been very upset to notice God was displeased.

Angel 1 Corinthians 13:4 (ESV)

"Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant"

Describes the qualities of the True Godly. Love stating it's patience, kind doesn't boast and isn't proud meaning it's selfless focused outward on others humble and seeks the of the loved one rather than themself. When I read it, I think of the qualities of love. Once I asked God to win my game I won, I loved him a lot more.
