In today's fast-paced world, many people are seeking deeper meaning and connection in their lives. They tend to forget who can truly set them free.
John 8: 31-32
31 So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, 32 and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
Our Lord wants a relationship with his children in the Old Testament he told the
Israelites:
Jeremiah 29:13-14
13 You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart. 14 I will be found by you, declares the Lord, and I will restore your fortunes and gather you from all the nations and all the places where I have driven you, declares the Lord, and I will bring you back to the place from which I sent you into exile.
The biggest down fall the Israelites had been they were always too busy focusing on themselves instead of putting their eyes on the maker. In the New Testament we find he tells us the same thing.
Matthew 7: 7-11
7 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened. 9 Or which one of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent? 11 If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!
Our father has always wanted us to seek him not the things of this world. Remember, He loves you! He gave you the best gift in this world grace, forgiveness and guidance for your everyday, but you need to look for yourself in the word.
